Catriona will be reading from her series of dystopian novels for young adults, The Pretty Learning, and discussing the most effective techniques for writing stories of this kind. You’ll also get the chance to develop your own stories.

Catriona Lexy Campbell has worked as a theatre artist, actor and writer for many years, primarily in her native Gaelic. She has five published novels and has two further novels pending this year. She was the first Gaelic Associate Artist with the National Theatre of Scotland in 2011 and her first radio play for the BBC, based on her novel Samhraidhean Diomhair, was broadcast in December 2012. She was the Writer in Residence at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in 2013. She is an Associate Artist with Theatre Galore and two of her plays, Doras Dùinte (2014) and Shrapnel (2016), have been produced by Theatre Galore and have toured Scotland.
