Moniack Mhor aims to make its facility available to as many schools as possible and is working hard to promote and extend this area.
Schools Courses 2010
The Jessie Kesson Residency March 1-27. Moniack Mhor looks to hosting a residency with an international writer who will offer workshops featuring some aspect of the literary work of Jessie Kesson to local schools.
May 3-7. Pushkin Prizewinners. Annual writing prize course with S2 pupils from Scotland and Russia. Tutors Gerry Cambridge and Cathy MacPhail.
May 10-21. The Written World in partnership with Abriachan Forest Trust. With P7 pupils from local cluster primaries. Each day a group of up to 20 will explore the natural environment of Abriachan Forest with Suzann Barr, followed by afternoon writing sessions at Moniack Mhor.

May 31-June 4. Highland Secondaries Outreach with novelist and creative writing professional Laura Marney. Offering workshops to prospective Advanced Higher English students for term 2010/11. Laura will also highlight the opportunities of attending a secondary school residential course at Moniack Mhor, to be held in September and November 2010. (see below).
June 21-26. Latymer Upper Secondary School.
September 20-25. Highland Secondaries Residential Creative Writing Week. Open to Advanced Higher pupils throughout the Highland region. Enquiries from secondary schools anywhere in Scotland are also be welcome. Tutors TBC.
