The 2020 Highland Book Prize Longlist series: Grimoire – Online Reading with poet Robin Robertson
Robin Robertson – a Scot exiled in London for most of his life – will explain how this Grimoire came to be, and why it’s subtitled New Scottish Folk Tales. Primarily, though, this will be a chance to hear him reading these poems.
Robin Robertson is originally from the north-east coast of Scotland. His previous book, The Long Take (2018), won the Goldsmiths Prize for innovative fiction, the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction, and was the first poem to be shortlisted for the Booker Prize.

This event is brought to you as part of a series celebrating the 2020 Highland Book Prize longlist. Over the next few months, Moniack Mhor will be running sessions with longlisted writers including workshops, individual and in-conversation talks. All will be delivered via Zoom and supported by a member of the Moniack Mhor/Highland Book Prize team.
