Stuck with a story or novel chapter? This is an opportunity to receive individual feedback from both tutors on one draft story or novel chapter and to make a work in progress a working story/chapter. As light relief, we’ll offer ice-breakers and readings.

Submission of a short piece of work beforehand is invited. Both tutors will provide feedback on your work.

Dilys Rose has published eleven books, including Red Tides, Pest Maiden and Pelmanism and is programme director for the online creative writing MSc at the University of Edinburgh.

Chris Dolan’s work includes four novels, Aliyyah, Potter’s Field (2014), Redlegs (2012) & Ascension Day, which won the McKitterick Prize. His first short story collection, Poor Angels, was shortlisted for the Saltire Award and a story from it won the Scotland on Sunday prize. He also writes for radio, screen and stage and non-fiction, including John Lennon: The Original Beatle, and a biography of Scottish Anarchist Ethel Macdonald. Chris is currently creative writing lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University, he was Writing Fellow, University of Strathclyde, 2011 -2012.
