Jessie Kesson Words in the Landscape Workshop with Linda Cracknell

Date/Time
Date(s) - Sun 31st Jul, 2016
10:00am - 4:00pm

Location
Moniack Mhor, Kiltarlity, Inverness-shire , IV4 7HT

After meeting for coffee at Abriachan, we will take a gentle stroll in the footsteps of Jessie Kesson, on the hillside where she stayed for six months when she was nineteen and returned to so many times in her writing. Along the way we will stop for reflections and note-taking activities exploring ways of connecting to and communicating place, nature and story as she did with such vitality. After lunch back at Moniack Mhor we will consolidate these notes and ideas in a writing workshop.

Please bring a notebook and writing implement that you can use on the move and dress for rough terrain and any weather.

Linda Cracknell writes fiction, radio drama, and creative non-fiction. Winner of the Macallan/Scotland on Sunday Short Story Competition in 1998, her books include Call of the Undertow and Doubling Back – ten paths trodden in memory.

Due to external funding – we are able to offer this course for £25 per person, including lunch.
