Writer Heather Parry will lead a fiction writing workshop for young people in Thurso and surrounding areas in June.

No experience needed! Open to anyone who wants to try writing or is already a keen writer, everyone welcome.

Drinks and snacks provided.

We have a small bursary for transport costs, if transport is a barrier to attend, please send an email to youngwriters@moniackmhor.org.uk to learn more about this.

 

This workshop is part of our Highland Young Writers Programme, a free programme for people aged 14-24 who enjoy writing and | or are interested in learning more about the publishing industry.

About the author

Heather Parry is a Glasgow-based writer and editor. She is the editorial director of Extra Teeth magazine and co-created the Illustrated Freelancer’s Guide with artist Maria Stoian. Her novels and nonfiction have been longlisted for the Saltire Fiction Book of the Year Award, the Polari First Book Prize and the Bread & Roses Award. Her most recent novel is Carrion Crow.
