Join Theodore Brogan and Ellenor Cowling for a day exploring Queer Voices!

    Queer Voices in Literature
    all ages welcome!

We’ll be discussing a spectrum of LGBTQ+ voices in literature from Oscar Wilde’s unapologetically queer prose to Andrea Gibson’s gender-defying poetry. The workshop will include writing time lead by optional prompts, and a space to share or express your own queer voice.

This will be an open discussion on queer experiences and the current state of LGBTQ+ rights, along with relearning the history of pride and queer protests. The space is open to work on whatever you chose, however, craft supplies for pride sign and patch making will be provided.

  • Choose to join one or both workshops!

Both workshops include at least a 15 minute break, and sharing work/ taking part in discussions is completely optional.

ABOUT THEODORE:

Theodore (they/them) is a non-binary writer who explores what it means to be neurodivergence and queer in today’s society. They work with blending styles and expectations through free form poetry, twisted flash friction and digital art.

ABOUT ELLENOR:

Ellenor (she/her) is an anti-establishment, queer writer and artist who pulls fiction and non-fiction alike from the histories of real places and people and explores the radical potential of queer love and self-expression through fashion and poetry.

 

The Life Changes Trust was established by The National Lottery Community Fund in April 2013 with a ten year endowment of £50 million to support transformational improvement in the quality of life, well-being, empowerment and inclusion of three key groups in Scotland: people living with dementia, unpaid carers of those with dementia and young people with care experience. The Trust concluded their ten year tenure in March 2022Moniack Mhor is a formal legacy partner of the Life Changes Trust.
