Creating convincing characters

Join Cecilia Knapp and explore how to grow and know your characters and allow them to live on the page. We’ll put your characters in complex situations—the weirder the better— and explore how they respond, as well as learn how to write convincing dialogue which feels true to life. Expect fun, imaginative exercises in this low pressure and explorative environment.

No need for experience, just bring along a playful mind and pen and paper! Drinks and snacks provided.

Please note, this workshop is free but but you do need to secure your place by booking below. By booking, you confirm that you are a young writer aged 14-24, and based in Scotland. For enquiries, contact youngwriters@moniackmhor.org.uk.
