How do I know if I am care experienced?

The term ‘care experienced’ refers to anyone who has been or is currently in care at any stage in their life, no matter how short, including adopted children and young people who were previously ‘looked after’.

The care may have been provided in one of many different settings such as in residential care, foster care, kinship care, or through being ‘looked after’ at home with a supervision requirement. This could include children and young people who are on the edges of care and who need support in order to avoid becoming care experienced.

How do I apply?

If you’re interested in joining this programme, please fill in our short expression of interest form below or contact us to arrange to chat through the application instead. If you prefer submitting your register of interest in a video format or audio recordings, that’s not a problem at all, please send it to pauline@moniackmhor.org.uk.

When is the deadline?

Please register your interest by 20 April, 5pm.

What are the next steps?

After the deadline we will review all registers of interest and invite a group of 8 to join the programme. We’re aiming to let everyone know about the outcome in early May.
