Sean Lusk

Sean Lusk is an award-winning novelist and short story writer. He has lived in Greece, Pakistan and Egypt, working variously as a gardener, speechwriter and diplomatic official. He now lives near Forres. The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesley, his debut novel, (2022, Penguin) was shortlisted for the Saltire Prize debut of the year and longlisted for the Walter Scott Prize for historical fiction. His second novel A Woman of Opinion, about the life of the remarkable Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, was published in the UK by Doubleday/Penguin in July 2024. Described by the Sunday Times as ‘witty, insightful and moving,’ it won the 2025 Saltire fiction book of the year.
