Extreme weather warnings
Please see course notes for exceptional circumstances of extreme weather warning affecting travel. Moniack Mhor will follow all government recommendations regarding travel in extreme circumstances. This may include delaying the start of a course or bringing a course to a finish ahead of a scheduled end date. It may also include delaying your travel in relation to guidance in your area, or, in extreme circumstances, cancelling a course or retreat. Delays and alterations to courses will be handled on an individual basis, however Moniack Mhor cannot refund or transfer course fees in the event of cancellation due to weather circumstances. Please see below regarding Travel Insurance recommendations.

Changes to the programme
On occasion, we may have to make changes to the advertised programme, tutors and / or schedule. As we plan the programme in advance, changes will inevitably occur to some courses, and occasionally the original tutors are unavailable. We always try to replace tutors with someone of similar experience, and to give you as much notice as possible. On these occasions, we regret that cancellation rights remain as above and we are unable to reimburse travel costs.

Travel insurance
Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse travel costs or other losses incurred in the event of cancellation or postponement. This applies to cancellations or postponements by us or you. We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance and to check that the policy suits your needs i.e. it covers you for course fees and travel costs.

Loss
Moniack Mhor cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense sustained by guests as a result of an event or circumstance whether arising from natural cause, human agency, or beyond its control.

Conduct
We ask that you are respectful to the property and surrounding context, i.e. neighbours and livestock. Moniack Mhor reserves the right to refuse a place to any person who, in the opinion of the Centre Director, behaves in an abusive, destructive or disruptive manner. There would be no refund given if exclusion is made for these reasons.
Please see our Safe Spaces policy in your Course Notes, also available on our website here or via the ‘Safe Spaces Policy’ button at the foot of this page.

Participation and access
Moniack Mhor is committed to providing a supportive and welcoming environment to all. We can usually accommodate a carer or support worker, and we also welcome assistance dogs. During a residential visit, course participants will be expected to take part in daily group activities. Participants will be expected to share domestic duties within the group, such as preparing a meal or washing up, for which guidance is provided.  If you have specific needs or are unable to take part in certain activities, it is important that you discuss these with the Centre prior to booking, to establish how we can best meet your needs.
