How to Apply

Here you you will find information about how to apply, link to download the application form, and an outline of how each application is assessed.

INDIVIDUAL APPLICATIONS

You may apply for any support worth up to £500, for a creative project you are involved in or would like to start.

How this will work: you will provide us with details of what you want and why, any costs and a suitable contact reference. We will then work with you to provide you what you need. Examples of what you might like to apply for may include:

  • Access to mentors with professional experience – writers, musicians, artists, tutors etc
  • Equipment for a creative hobby- instruments, technical gear (excluding laptops), art software, art supplies etc
  • Transport to get to workshops, lessons or creative opportunities
  • Recording or publishing costs
  • Opportunities to showcase your work
  • Anything that aids your creative development!

If you require any support with your application, please call 01463 592828 to speak with someone from the Creativity and Care team.

If filling out a written application form is not accessible to you, please get in touch. We can fill it out with you over the phone, meet in person or have a Zoom call to discuss what you are applying for.

GROUP APPLICATIONS

In your pair or group, you may apply for any support worth up to £500 per person, for a creative project you are involved in or would like to start. All members of the group must be care experienced (for our definition please see the form).

Please note: the process and application are exactly the same as above. HOWEVER, group applications will be considered with much stricter criteria. This means the full project must be envisioned at the time of applying; including cost breakdowns, dates, tutors, links to resources etc.

THE PROCESS

  • Once filled out, please send your application form to vicky@moniackmhor.org.uk and roxana@moniackmhor.org.uk
  • Your personal information will be removed from the form before it is sent to our steering committee. The Committee is made up of 10 care experienced young people from all over Scotland, who have a range of creative experience
  • The Steering Committee will then assess the application through written or verbal feedback, before voting anonymously
  • The Steering Committee is a democracy, meaning the outcome is decided by the majority of votes
  • Vicky or Roxana will then get in touch with you to let you know whether your application has been successful

EVALUATION

If your application is successful and you accept funding from us, we ask that you agree to give us feedback on your project/equipment/outcome. This could be a short video, photographs or written depending on your project.

And remember, you can always speak to one of the Creativity & Care team – read more about them here!
