Writing Exercise 13 – New Years Resolutions

Write a short story or poem, or even just a passage of prose on the subject of new years resolutions, but here’s the catch – they can’t be the same as any of the resolutions you’ve made for yourself this year. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes and imagine what kinds of resolutions they might have made, and are they managing to stick to them? Why have they made these resolutions in the first place? How do the resolutions impact on their lives? Really get inside the head of your new character, and see where your story goes…
